Sanction of another set of F16 fighter aircrafts to Pakistan..
India keeps a close eye on the F16s being delievered to Pakistan soon. The invitation of the US government to co-built these and on further willingness of selling its advanced sibling- the F/A 18 Hornet better known as the F18, is seen as more of a cover-up. Given the fact that the first lot of LCA or the Light Combat Aircraft is to be delievered to the Indian Air Force sometime in 2005 itself. A project which was initiated decades ago and is being produced solely on Indian soil by HAL (Hindustan Aeronautical Ltd.) is a step to give India an edge over the closer millitery regimes. Now US wants to start an arms-possession war within the Asian region so it could further lure more countries (usually its allies) to buy more of its stock. Wonder what Russians must be thinking of offering India!!??

Yes, infact I have these vital stats about the Tejas which is the LCA, first Indian fighter aircraft:
-- Tail-less compound delta planform with relaxed static stability
-- Wing-shielded, side mounted Y-duct air intakes
-- Extensive use of composites in primary structures
-- Fly-by-wire flight controls
-- State of the art digital Avionics
-- High agility and maneuverability
-- Supersonics at all altitudes
-- Inflight refueling capability
-- Wide range of external stores:
- Air-to-Air Missiles
- Air-to-Ground
- Rocket/Missiles
- Anti-Ship Missiles
- Laser Guided Bombs
- Conventional and retarded Bombs
- Gasha Gun
- Drop Tanks
- Recce Pods
- EW Pods
Even after if the Indian Govt. is thinking about wasting money on buying more of foreign made fighter planes in its class, then it would be a shameful act on the part of the Indian polititians, while the three forces have approved and admired the aircraft, they should try to finalize the Kaveri engine instead of fighting for a new aircraft. And the American Govt. cannot be trusted for the GE engine as they pulled the plug out of the project due to which the LCAs are at hault in production, how can Indians trust them for a whole Aircraft?? (If we buy from them)
