LCA and other creditable Indian machines
There are a number of war equipments that India is producing but still India's services (viz. IAF, Indian Army & Indian Navy) insist on purchasing foreign versions. This needs to stop now and Indian Government should think of economising and trying to be more self-relient because India very well posses the capability for the same.
This is the result of the uncertainity of the US Sanctions due to which Tejas or better known as LCA could not be materialised. The GE engine which was supposidly to be used for the first 40 LCA's, is now not being delievered because of the US sanctions that made GE pull the plug and hence the problem. The first fleet of Tejas was to be inducted into the IAF by the end of 2005 with the GE engine (later to be replaced in the next fleet by Kaveri engine, the Indian made jet engine which was indigineously developed for Tejas and is currently tested in Russia).

But due to the US sanctions, India is becoming more self-relient result of which are the Arjun Battle Tanks, Bramhos- best and much better than any other in its class (in Russian collabration), Early Warning Radars (in collabration with Israil). Now the the Fifth Generation of figther aircrafts which the Indians would be developing with the Russians, is seen as a big thing for India in developing warfare machines. Israil is already relying on India for electronic components in its systems, the range of which is still to be reveled.
The future will see India as a major superpower in the subcontinent, and maybe a world power.
